Distance from Hay: 0
Situated in the heart of Hay, this bright and spacious two bedroom flat (with the option of a third bedroom) is close to cafes, restaurants, shops, walks, cycle routes, and river ways. Sleeping accommodation consists of a double bedroom and twin bedroom, with quality bedding and towels. The double room has a large double bed, and the twin, a queen sized bed and a single bed. There is the option, on request, of adding an additional single bed to either of these rooms, as well as changing the dining room into a third bedroom with a king sized bed. The flat comfortably sleeps six. The bedrooms and large bathroom, with a bath and shower, are on the first floor of the flat. A kitchen, dining room and lounge are on the second floor. The kitchen is well equipped and has a washing machine. The dining area has a large table sitting six, and the lounge, a working fireplace and TV. The ground floor conservatory entrance also has a sofa and chairs and can be a sun-trap early mornings and during the evening. The flat has recently been restored and enjoys beautiful wooden floors. Even though it is located at the centre of Hay, it has a peaceful feel. Perfect for exploring, resting and rejuvenating. As the flat consists of three floors, like many old townhouses in Hay, there are two sets of stairs with a spacious hallway, offering views toward the Radnor Hills. Two parking spaces can be accessed via an old archway, which may not be suitable for large vehicles. Information about the area, including maps to borrow, is available in the flat. Hay is celebrated for its markets, festivals, castle, theatre and many cafes, restaurants, galleries and book-shops. It is perfectly located for walking, cycling, and canoeing, and there are local bike and canoe hire places in town (as well as storage space for bikes in the flat). The flat is situated besides Offa's Dyke long distance footpath and it is possible to walk sections of this, and create circular walks. The Black Mountains and Radnor Hills have wonderful vistas, and the River Wye meanders close by. We are booked for Hay Festival 2019, but currently have availability during the winter and spring months (at a reduced rate for longer term stays).
